John Malki’s background in real estate has afforded him a unique insight that few attorneys have. As a California-licensed real estate broker, Mr. Malki actively conducted sales and mortgage transactions for several years before becoming an attorney. He has served as an adjunct professor of Real Estate Law at Thomas Jefferson School of Law, teaching Real Estate Transactions and Secured Land Transactions.
Mr. Malki’s extensive experience has been invaluable for cases involving residential and commercial real estate matters, as well as mortgage transactions. His approach to disputes is creative, friendly, and tenacious, which earned him a track record of resolutions on favorable terms—a key element for avoiding the stresses and expenses of litigation.

Mr. Malki graduated cum laude from Thomas Jefferson School of Law, where he earned a spot on the Honor Roll and the National Dean’s List five times, in addition to receiving the Witkin Award for the highest grade in Secured Land Transactions.
Mr. Malki is a member of the State Bar of California and the San Diego County Bar Association. He has been a presenter on Real Estate Law topics at the San Diego County Bar Association, and has served as a delegate to the California Conference of Bar Associations. He is admitted to practice before all State Courts in California, as well as the United States District Court for the Southern and Central Districts of California.
Before becoming an attorney, Mr. Malki had over twenty years of experience in diverse fields such as real estate, the automotive industry, small businesses and ministry, and continues to play an active role in a teaching and advisory role in his church.
