Dani L. Battiest is an associate attorney with Goode, Hemme & Barger who devotes her practice to estate planning and business law. She started her legal career in 2010 as a legal assistant, found her passion, became an attorney and hasn’t looked back.
As an attorney, she is committed to delivering first class legal services to her clients who appreciate her personal, friendly manner while working diligently to achieve their goals. She is experienced in the creation of Wills and Trusts, Probate Administration and Trust Administration. Additionally, she has successfully represented small business owners in entity formation, corporate compliance, employee issues, business succession planning, and contract drafting and negotiation. Each of these areas are important for clients who want to have their personal and business affairs in good order and provide for a smooth, cost effective transition of their estates to their heirs.
Ms. Battiest is a proud San Diego native who holds degrees from the University of California, San Diego and Thomas Jefferson School of Law. While at Thomas Jefferson, she received numerous distinguished honor awards recognizing her academic achievements.
Ms. Battiest is a member of the California State Bar Association, the North County Bar Association, Wealth Counsel, North County Business Network (where she serves as the group’s Ethics Officer) and the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity.

Ms. Battiest believes in giving back to her community and has a long history of volunteering her time for nonprofit organizations, including Mama’s Kitchen and The Wounded Warrior Foundation. She currently devotes her time to the needs of underprivileged children as a member of the Assistance League of North Coast where she serves on the Planned Giving Committee, Investment Committee, and with the Working Professionals Group.
Personally, Ms. Battiest finds great joy in caring for her young family, which includes her husband (a proud service member in the United States Marine Corp for almost 20 years!) and their three small daughters. In her free time she engages in games and outdoor activities of all kinds with friends and family, including competing on co-ed softball teams with her husband.
