Teaching and coaching in the public schools of suburban Chicago laid the groundwork for Roger Heaton, an attorney dedicated to providing quality legal service, reasonably priced. After graduating from Denison University, he attended law school at the University of San Diego where he graduated in 1981 and was subsequently part of the faculty teaching legal research and writing.

Mr. Heaton brings to our law firm experience garnered from highly regarded large and medium sized law firms where his practice included the successful completion of numerous trials. Mr. Heaton’s expansive legal career includes involvement in diverse practice areas such as personal injury, product liability, insurance coverage, construction defect and breach of contract. He worked on behalf of the unsecured creditors committee in the Braniff Airlines’ bankruptcy proceedings and other representative clients include Pepsi, Home Depot, Kentucky Fried Chicken and the City of Chula Vista. His unique skill for strategic planning, attention to detail and persistence have the won respect of his adversaries and the gratitude of his clients.

Mr. Heaton served as an arbitrator for the San Diego Municipal and Superior Courts for several years. Since joining the firm, he has concentrated his practice in employment law, estate planning, personal injury, civil litigation and appeals. Mr. Heaton is not only licensed to practice before state and federal courts in California, Hawaii and Texas but is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Diamond Gateway Chamber of Commerce and USD Law School Alumni Association. He is currently on the Board of Directors of the Scripps Ranch High School Football Boosters where he avidly follows his sons’ football careers.
